International Women`s Day 2024

 —  —

The Fermain Tavern , Fort Road, GY1 1ZW, St.Martin, Guernsey

IWD is back for 2024! Kiya & Eloise have gathered a fresh new lineup of female creatives to celebrate the wide variety of talent the women in our community have.

Live music from: The Basement Preachers Elena Fedorenko & Nicole Wyatt Maryen Cairns Katja Martin

As well as poetry by Trudy Shannon, a special bubble set from Chloe Ferguson, and lots of visual media artists to be announced! We're transforming the Tav for this very special evening.

From Tommy Girard's review on 2023's debut event: "While this event only showed off a taste of the female talent making music and art in Guernsey, it served a great purpose in showing the breadth of styles being created by women in the island. Everyone brought such different things to their performances it didn’t feel like comparisons were really possible."

Doors 7:30pm, entertainment from 8pm

Piano Day 2023 with Elena Fedorenko

(BST, UTC+01) (BST, UTC+01)

The Land of Green Ginger, 8 Market Square , St.Peter Port

Piano Day 2023 in Guernsey with Elena Fedorenko and her friends: Eloise Fabbri, Nicole Wyatt and Sam Cole. The evening will consist of a selection of contemporary classical music for piano solo, including some well-known works alongside some of Elena's own compositions.

“Why does the world need a Piano Day? For many reasons. But mostly, because it doesn’t hurt to celebrate the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers and most important, the listener.” – Nils Frahm

Piano Day, an annual worldwide event founded by a group of like-minded people, takes place on the 88th day of the year – in 2023, it’s the 29th March – because of the number of keys on the instrument being celebrated.
